PARISH FAIR NOW DECEMBER 10th

 Fair Meeting Plans A, B & C!    22nd October, 2021
Purpose of the Fair
1.Have Fun
2.Be an outreach to and the community, 
3.To involve and engage as many people as possible in our parish community
4.Raise much needed funds to support the growth and mission of the parish.

Theme: Christmas   
We are proposing three plans for the Fair.
It will depend on the restrictions that might be in place on 22nd of October.

We are of course hoping for PLAN A 

 
PLAN A
  1. All stalls outside probably straight along the Fisher Street - Masonic Hall – all along the pathway.
  2. QR Code to be available
  3. Customers to be provided with a bag with a message of welcome and Information pamphlet.
  4. Most items to be packaged for sale to eliminate handling
    1. BOOKS - Bundle boxes of themed Mystery Books – 10 books for say $10.00 
    2. CRAFT - Craft Bundles – Children/ Adults/ Babies/ Children
    3. CAKES – All wrapped as usual – emphasis on Christmas cakes/puddings, Shortbread, gingerbread, White Christmas 
    4. FRUIT & VEG - Pre-packed boxes
    5. PRESERVES – Some pre-packed boxes
    6. PLANTS wrapped as gifts
    7. CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS
  5. Other Stalls 
    1. BBQ/DRINKS/LOLLIES
    2. COFFEE CART with wrapped single Christmas treats including Devonshire teas, Shortbread, Gingerbread, Christmas Cake, White Christmas slice, Stained Glass Window slice to go with tea and coffee
    3. MULLED WINE to add atmosphere 
    4. RAFFLE online
PLAN B  - Smaller Market Style Fair
Market style pre-packed Food Items – as per Market rules during restrictions
  1. CAKES
  2. FRUIT & VEG
  3. PRESERVES
  4. PLANTS
  5. RAFFLE Online
  6. Need to find out regulations for other stalls.
PLAN C
Recycle the Trivia Auction Sight for online orders – Click and Collect Drive Through
  1. CAKES – Christmas Cake/Christmas Pudding/Shortbread/Gingerbread
  2. GINGERBREAD HOUSES
  3. FRUIT & VEG - Boxes
  4. PRESERVES – Pre- packed variety boxes
  5. PLANTS – Wrapped
  6. CHRISTMAS HAMPERS – decorations/ornaments/Food
  7. RAFFLE online
  8. BOOK Packs
No Matter which plan we implement, we will need your support with:
  1. Jams & Preserves
  2. Christmas Cakes
  3. Shortbread
  4. Christmas Puddings
  5. Gingerbread and Gingerbread Houses
  6. Christmas Tree cookies – Sonia has directions
  7. Possibly other cakes if we are able to go with Plan A
  8. Woodworked – ornaments – Reindeer, Christmas Trees from dry timber
  9. Plants – especially wrapped as gifts
  10. Decorations as per separate notice.
Rest assured that all your contributions will not be wasted as we have the three options.

​The Fair Decorating Committee would love your assistance with helping to make Christmas Bauble Wreaths. The wreaths will serve as decorations for every stall but also be up for sale during the event (or subsequently if Covid intervenes).
The link above (and on the decoration) are some instructions on how to make them. The document also has some links to instructional videos. 
If you are not keen to do some craft, please consider donating any excess Christmas baubles to us. Baubles can be dropped off at the rear of St John's Hall. 
We are also after long lengths of fairy lights to decorate the outdoor twilight event. Happy to accept donations or loans. Please label any lights, near the plug end, if they are to be returned.
